About Me

I, Gwendolyn A. Grimstead, began my theatrical career during my collegiate years (8/1978 – 5/1981) as a member of the Paul Robenson Players @ North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC. Although I was a Business Administration major, prior to graduating, I performed in two campus plays: Don't Forget 127th Street, Charles Strouse and For Colored Girls Who Have Consider Suicide / When the Rainbow is Enuf (Lady in Green), Ntozake Shange. 

 Note: For Colored Girls... expanded to a professional troop in Greensboro, NC with compensation bookings. 

Modeling Experience (3/1988 – 7/1990): Assigned to assist with the wardrobe development and video production modeling for major clothing designer, Sandra Garrett (Multiples, Inc.) in two "Point-of-Sales fashion campaigns by Dayton Hudson Department Stores, Minneapolis, MN. The point-of-sale fashion video setup was structured as concept specialty shops within major department stores across the U.S. (Macy's, Dayton Hudson, Strawbridge & Clothier, Dillard’s and more). Also, I was promoted to a National Styling Director (USA) and booked for major department store special event(s) live modeling productions for Multiples, Inc. (Jerrell, Inc. TX).
